Pie # 7 Crust-less Cranberry Pie

Here is the Crust-less Cranberry pie recipe

and the verdict on the Apple Crumb Pie

I give it a 4 stars for ease of preparation just because it takes a little longer to make, peeling and coring and slicing all the apples.  As for taste the person who got this pie said it was one of the best apple pies that they have ever eaten and gave it a 5 stars for taste.  Would I ever make this pie again?  It’s a close call, I already have a pie recipe like this that we love it’s almost exactly like this pie the only difference is the one I already make is a little bit more spicy and I like it that way but as the reviewer said this pie is awesome! So who knows..

Pie #7 Crust less Cranberry Pie 

This pie was extremely easy and fast to make perfect for a Sunday. First you mix your flour, sugar and salt together.  Then you add  your cranberries and chopped walnuts

Give it a mix.

Then you add your wet ingredients, 2 eggs beaten, melted butter and almond extract.

Then give all that a mix SUGGESTION –if you are using frozen cranberries like I was I would suggest that you mix the batter up completely then add the cranberries last it will make your life a little easier. Or place them in the bottom of the pie tin and pour the batter over the top.  Then you bake it at 350 for about 40 min. Enjoy!

The Verdict

The family who received this pie literally called  me about 15 minutes later to report that is was all gone and that their kids loved it and begged for seconds.  The wife also liked it but the husband who doesn’t like cranberries was not a fan. So if you like cranberries and are looking for something different to do with them I’d say give it a try.  P.S.  the recipe says to serve it with cool whip or ice cream but they ate it plain and it was fine that way too.  5 stars for taste from Cranberry lovers and a 5 stars from me for ease of preparation.
