Pie # 14 Buttermilk Pie

025

This next pie comes from Sara. She is a SAHM of five kids.  Sara, is always doing the coolest stuff with her kids, from fun April Fools Day dinners, to awesome birthday bashes and having her husband pose as Mr. Smarty-pants a character that helps her kids get ready for back to school.  I always love to check in on Sara and her family to see what family adventure she has cooked up next.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup Bisquick

!/3 cup butter, melted

1 tsp. vanilla

3 eggs

Directions

Grease pie tin. Mix all ingredients and pour into pie tin. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool five minutes. Serve warm or cold with fresh fruit or caramel sauce and whipped cream. THIS PIE CAN BE MADE WITH OR WITHOUT A CRUST! I obviously chose to use a crust. BUT if you use a crust then it will require a longer baking time.  I started with 30 min and went from there.  Mine took 40 min.

This pie was super fast and easy to make.  I was done in just a couple of minutes.  It took me longer to find the Bisquick in my pantry than it did to make this pie.

ENJOY!!
