Corn on the Cob Cupcakes

When I saw the cover of Woman’s Day magazine this month I couldn’t stop smiling.  They had the cutest cupcakes I had ever seen!  So today I made some. They were super easy.

035

You’ll Need

cupcakes (the magazine actually has a recipe in it for cupcakes that includes cornmeal but I just used a white cake mix.)

white icing

yellow & white Jelly Belly jelly beans

yellow Starbursts

black sprinkles

I lightly iced my cupcakes

043

Then I just started adding rows of yellow and white jelly beans.

045

Then I cut a yellow starburst into quarters and smashed it a little bit to look like butter.

  029

Then I added some black sprinkles for pepper.

027

Make two more cupcakes and line them up to form a corncob.  You can add corn holders on the end for a nice look.

Enjoy!

FYI* If you really want to make more than just one corncob you should go to a candy store that sells Jelly Belly jelly beans by color.  Otherwise one corncob is all you’ll get.   You could check that place that has a whole bunch of stores in one spot that teenagers like to roam around aimlessly, I think they call it a mall. You can usually can find a candy store there.
